The Wilson Times Co. purchased The Spring Hope Enterprise Wednesday. Ken Ripley was the previous publisher and editor of the Enterprise. Although he retired as an editor and publisher, he will stay on at the Enterprise as a part-time writer.

With the purchase, The Wilson Times will be able to have a wider reach and increase its coverage of Nash County. General Manager of the Times, Keven Zepezauer, looks forward to the acquisition, saying that it will allow the Times to better serve its community, provide a better cost for readers and allow advertisers to broaden their reach.

The department heads at the Times will have the same roles at the Enterprise, and Zepezauer will become the Enterprise's publisher. A reporter will be based out of the Enterprise office.

Ripley wanted to make sure that the Enterprise was going into local hands when he sold it and is optimistic that the Times will propel the Enterprise to greater growth and success.
