WINSTON-SALEM, NC – July 25, 2023 – The Association Executives of North Carolina (AENC) is proud to announce the election of Phil Lucey, the Executive Director of the North Carolina Press Association (NCPA), as its new President. The election took place during the annual meeting held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in Winston-Salem, NC.

As the newly elected President of AENC, Phil Lucey brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted commitment to the field of association management. Throughout his career, Mr. Lucey has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, spearheading numerous successful initiatives and advancing the interests of both NCPA and the broader community of association professionals in North Carolina.

Established in 1955, AENC is committed to providing high quality professional development and networking opportunities to help develop and foster the recognition and respect of the association management profession. Members include CEOs and staff of associations across North Carolina, as well as representatives from the association service and hospitality industries.

Under Phil Lucey's guidance, the North Carolina Press Association has achieved significant milestones and received accolades for its impactful contributions to the press industry. As Executive Director, Mr. Lucey has been instrumental in advocating for press freedom, promoting journalistic excellence, and supporting the interests of media organizations across the state.
