Beacon publisher Angie Sutton bids adieu

Spring is my favorite time of year. It’s a reminder of how beautiful change can be. This spring, change for me meant much more than blooming flowers and warm sunshine. It was the start of a new chapter in my life.

In late 2020, I made the decision to step away as publisher of The Brunswick Beacon. The decision was not easy, and my reason was solely personal. I found it challenging to effectively balance my work responsibilities and give my family the support they deserve from me.

It just felt right.  You know when you know.

The Beacon welcomed me with open arms in 2007. Almost immediately I realized I stepped into something very special. I was surrounded by dedicated co-workers who believed in the product and loved their community. It was so exciting to be surrounded by people who truly cared; it wasn’t just a job to most.
