North Carolinians of Note
Through the generosity of UNC’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication, the North Carolina Press Foundation is happy to share the a series of profiles of famous North Carolinians for you to use at will in your newspapers. The profiles were written by students taking Dean Emeritus Richard Cole’s feature writing class this year. This not only helps your readers honor the greats of North Carolina’s history – it celebrates young writers.
The “North Carolinians of Note” profiles come complete with headline and photo. When the full series is completed, NCPF will put all the profiles on CD and send a copy, along with a teaching guide, to North Carolina newspapers and their NIE/educational programs.
