Remember this year’s passwords
The operators of the Better Newspaper Contest website alerted us that a big change is in the works for the system next year. This year, and for the past few years, each member paper started off with a temporary password when first signing into the system for either the advertising or news contest. BNC plans to eliminate use of the temporary password for contests beginning in 2013. Whatever password(s) you create for this year’s contests will be your password(s) next year. Also, be sure to check the email address you provide the system. That’s the address BNC will use to send an email when you click on the “Forgot Password” link. So be sure to write down your password this year and keep it in a safe place for next year.

Dues reminder
Dues invoices have all been sent out to members. Remember that to participate in either the Best Ad Contest or the News, Editorial & Photojournalism Contest your dues must be paid in full by Oct. 1, 2012.
