One of our reporters just landed a job at a bigger newspaper. She'd joined us right out of college, worked hard for a couple of years and honed her skills with the help of some veteran editors. It happens all the time here, this development process. If you think you could benefit from it -- and if you have the right background imparted by a combination of classroom work, internships and other newsroom experience -- you should think about applying for the vacant reporting job. All five of our reporters here do general assignment work; in addition, this beat focuses on health, fitness and social issues. This is an overnight job as most of our deliveries leave our plant in the early morning hours. We are looking for candidates that have been in similar positions in the past.
