Roanoke-Chowan Publications in Ahoskie, NC, is seeking an experienced, high-energy professional to lead its sales staff. This position is responsible for the generation of all advertising revenue for The Roanoke-Chowan News Herald, The Gates County Index and the Roanoke-Chowan Shopper through the direction and daily leadership of the advertising department, including retail, classified and internet sales. The Advertising Director must bring a sense of excitement to the position, must have the ability to motivate a sales staff, must be experienced in implementing new and successful sales strategies. Must also be willing and able to make sales calls and handle an account list. Simply put, he/she must lead by example! The qualified candidate will be an innovative thinker and will work closely with the Publisher. Ahoskie is located in northeastern North Carolina, about 30 minutes south of the Virginia border, and about 90 minutes from the coast. We are an equal-opportunity employer.
