Reporter/multimedia journalist wanted

The Wilson Times
Wilson, North Carolina

Are you a wordsmith with a nose for news, an eye for video and a mind for social media? If you're a multimedia journalist who’s adept at tackling new challenges, we want to hear from you.

The Wilson Times, a 126-year-old local newspaper in the heart of east-central North Carolina, is looking for a versatile reporter who will turn daily stories and isn't afraid to pitch in with photography and video. We publish print editions on Tuesdays and Fridays, but we function as a daily news outlet online. An ability to balance quick-turn pieces with long-term projects is essential.

The successful candidate will be a go-getter who can work a beat, cultivate sources and generate a steady stream of stories. He or she should also be a strong writer who produces crisp, clean copy.

We're looking for a team player who will help us make one of the state's best community newspapers even better. The Wilson Times is the flagship of Restoration NewsMedia, a family-owned company working to preserve and restore local journalism. Our company offers competitive salary and benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance and a 401(k) retirement savings plan.
