Publisher Arrested
Staff
The Alamance News, Graham

Fort Bragg Hearings
Henry Cuningham
The Fayetteville Observer, Fayetteville
The reporter determinedly followed the developments on these hearings, wrote intelligently about the freedom of information values involved and the newspaper persisted in general in pushing for change. In an era when the military all too often has its way and the administration in Washington skates with its secret ways, this reporter and this newspaper challenged the authorities. The people are the winners. |
